Thermoplastic on the outside of the little finger, top of the ulna bone and the palm. Cowhide, the palm is a single piece, with many pads double stitched onto the palm. For comfort there is a tightening strap on the wrist, velcro cuff adjustment pre curved fingers, perforation on the sides of the fingers and cuff. Inner lining is a stretch fabric. The supple, soft leather comes from specially bred cows and Kushitani manufacture their own products, ensuring consistent quality and workmanship throughout. Kevlar for impact and high-stress areas, Zylon -- for all potential high-impact areas. According to Kushitani, Zylon is stronger and more heat resistant than Kevlar or carbon fiber. Impact resistance is from another proprietary material that Kushitani has dubbed K-Form. This material is a shock-absorbent, acrylic-emulsified material that possesses no memory effect.
