| Timbuk2 Messenger Bags - CLICK ON PICTURES FOR LARGER IMAGE |
| Timbuk2 has been making custom-built messenger bags since 1989, without the use of sweatshops, piece workers, or the term "product units." Their bags are messenger-designed, civilian-approved, and guaranteed to wear like hell. We know, it's a bicycle bag... but they work great and have been tested by us for years we sell them because we use them and like them. I think every serous rider needs one, they fit better than a backpack (which raises you center of gravity and does scary things if caught in the wind) and they last for ever. Mine has 5 years, 50 thousand miles, and 6 countries on it and still is not dead. Check out all the cool and useful features. |
The cross strap really holds the bag in place, either under your arm or across your back. When they say water proof they mean it, my stuff has never gotten wet. The reflective tails shake around in the wind and do a great job of screaming "Here I am, don't hit me!". They bags fit close to your body when they are full or empty and don't turn you into a sail like backpacks can.

The El Ocho is Timbuk2's medium messenger bag. This bag works well if you are not a pack rat that hauls around a lot of stuff. If you click on the picture to the left and go to the detail shots you will see the bag loaded with a clunky old laptop and a big sweatshirt, this all fits well and is a easy load to ride with. You will also see a single CD-ROM in the bag, this should give you a idea of it's size. Available in all black. Shipping weight 3 pounds. $65
